PreschoolFirst’s learning experiences, formative assessment, and targeted reporting have been carefully designed and user-tested. PreschoolFirst is being used successfully by teachers, families, and administrators in a variety of early childhood settings. As a service of the non-profit The Source for Learning, Inc., PreschoolFirst can make these features available at lower prices and with a wider choice of options. The new Complimentary version makes a selection of PreschoolFirst learning experiences available to individual teachers without charge.
SFL holds FCC licenses that allow for-profit companies to use the excess capacity on those frequencies. The royalties from these arrangements enable SFL to offer its services either free or at a much-reduced cost.
But low cost does not mean low quality.
SFL’s services for PreK-12 teachers and children apply sound instructional design, embedded professional development, and appropriate educational technologies to the educational challenges at hand. As a result, PreschoolFirst—and our other online services—offer outstanding value to early childhood educators, regardless of their setting.
The Source for Learning is organizationally and financially stable, our reach is nation-wide, and we are effective. Research shows that our approaches work; our services win awards; our staff are among the leaders and presenters at high-profile conferences; and more users access SFL’s content and services each year.
